5-09-09 Potatoes-Fence

This is Kate's Garden.
It's named after the person who made it possible.
My name is Suzanne. This will be a record of the garden to feed and bless many. We hope to take you through the entire process of planting, canning, and drying fruit and veggies.
~God Bless This Garden~

Wow! The potatoes are looking good!

Potatoes are planted in a double high bed to give them room to produce. The
new baby potatoes will grow NOT from the roots but from the stems.

Tamping down the soil around a new wealthy apple tree. Two of them got
planted today.

We used a garden hose to mark the line for fence posts.

Big job rolling up 75 ft. of hose.

Jessica getting the fencing started.

The bunnies are not going to like this fence. You can see the compost pile on the left.

The end of one 50ft roll of fencing.

Connecting the fencing with short pieces of wire to the post.

Starting the fence on the west side of the garden. Altogether 200 ft. of fencing got
done today. Probably at least another 100 ft. to go.
